Good Chemistry, fun watch.

Dr. Harper Higgins (Taylor Cole) is an art adjunct professor hoping that an upcoming art testify could exist what she needs to earn her tenure. Considering of her busy lifestyle she hires dog walker Tom Becker (Steve Lund). When the artist scheduled to practise the show becomes unavailable by accident she discovers that Tom is an apprentice creative person, and she convinces him to be the feather creative person for the testify. At that place is only 1 hiccup because Tom said that his family line came from the aforementioned hometown as Vincent Van Gogh and rumor was he may be related to him. Harper uses this to help go the approval for Tom to be feathered. Taylor Cole is as lovely as ever and being starred with Steve Lund created a believable courting. My favorite part of the movie is how they work together in dealing with the Van Gogh falsification. This is one that I could lookout again.

A gentle watch

Taylor Cole is always an easy spotter, and Steve Lund ? - I mean, who wouldn't want to date him ? A nice 'arty' film, simply I'm biased towards the little domestic dog - because I own the same make and model myself - a Edge Terrier. The smartest and loveable of all little dogs. Is it any wonder he has a career in films ?

Hallmark

Dr. Harper Higgins (Taylor Cole) is an art expert. She hires Tom Becker (Steve Lund) to walk her dog. An exhibition falls through when an artist pulls out. She is desperate for a replacement and Tom happens to be an amateur painter. She recruits her to practise a show for her higher.

There isn't enough estrus generated from a meet beautiful. The two leads are perfectly banal. Taylor Cole has more than charisma but the combination struggles to break out. I don't hate any of this but at that place isn't much to generate any feelings. It's a rather apartment Hallmark romance. It's for background watching simply.

Non a piece of art, just enjoyable and refreshing.

I have seen both actors earlier and none of their movies were THE movies. Typical Hallmark to enjoy during and hour and a half. So, I decided to give the pair a adventure.

This movie was enjoyable. It's not outstanding. It is nonetheless within Hallmarks parameters merely it still felt, somehow, REFRESHING. The characters were adept. The chemistry was quite proficient - The chemistry between Steve Lund aka Tom and Vincent was fifty-fifty better -

(I have seen this canis familiaris in quite a few Authentication movies past now)

Some may discover it irksome and I would totally understand why, apart from the scenes with dogs and maybe 1 with the leads at that place were no major scenes/moments to react to. Yet i'chiliad glad how the plot plow out: they didn't throw whatever pre-ending drama at the leads to tear them apart, just instead they faced information technology together - even though it's predictable -

I attribute almost the picture show: What bothered me was how sure someone discovered the secret. Just because he "is" who he said he was, doesn't mean he can't have the life he has and practise the things he does. He can be both. (I know it doesn't make so much sense: if reading the annotate before it won't exist understood, but information technology will after)

To sum up: it is worth the sentry, specially if y'all enjoy these types of movies equally much as I exercise. Giving it a 7 because autonomously from what I mentioned in the final paragraph, they didn't ruined it. But I wished it was funnier.

Three reasons i similar this more than than usual Hallmark movies.

  • Taylor Cole and Steve Lund. In some Hallmark movies i don't like any of the lead actors, in some just one of them and in others both. In this case information technology'southward certainly the latter.
  • The art. Hallmark makes movies about photography and painting all the time. Also many times the work of supposed talented or successful artists is just ridiculous. Not this time though.
  • The twist. You know how in every Hallmark movie the stars suspension up with ten minutes left in the film and get back together three minutes before the terminate? Hallmark does information technology because information technology works, information technology adds a dramatic effect that normally makes the entire movie better. But subsequently watching hundreds of Hallmark movies, this not happening for once is a very welcome twist

THE ARTWORK

8 stars for the cute fine art piece of work. Many people are searching for the name of the artist of the original paintings. I searched as well, until I actually looked at the credits. The artist IS given credit for the original art. Her proper name is Lori Goldberg. Well I cannot find the painting of "The Kiss", (which I am sure is non only my favorite, but for many others, as well), many of her pieces tin be establish.

Cute romantic one-act

A classical romance with Art season. Not pretentious but rather light and delightful for an every solar day entertainment.

If y'all don't have great expectations this movie should entertain you good plenty.

The Art of United states of america

I idea this was a dainty Authentication film, which had a decent storyline and two leads who had skilful chemistry - both of which are essential with this sort of film.

Well worth a watch.

Information technology was pretty proficient

Alert: Spoilers

Ane of the reviews mentioned that the ancestry research on Vincent Van Gogh was inaccurate and that the player held the paintbrush incorrectly. I promise this was a elementary oversight. It is very important that we try to be equally accurate as possible. Our all-time shouldn't become mediocre. I call back the dismissive term "whatever" has permeated into society. Nosotros accept things without question and cut corners because challenging our minds has become a job.

Also, there was no real emotion or portrayed seriousness to the potential consequences of this huge lie. Basically, once information technology was revealed, it was like, "oh well, whatsoever!"

Other than that, Steve Lund was refreshing.

Cute art, film not as beautiful

Am familiar with Taylor Cole and Steve Lund as pb actors, more so Cole due to seeing more of her filmography. Cole has always been variable to me, sometimes she is charming and easy to like and at others she comes over every bit cold and it does depend on how her grapheme is written. What has been seen of Lund has been nice enough if not wow worthy. Have e'er liked looking at paintings and was interested in seeing whether Hallmark would do an interesting story out of it.

'The Art of Us' is a bit of a mixed bag, with some good things just also some underwhelming ones. When it comes to Hallmark's 2017 output, it is not one of the best and it is also not one of the worst. Personally put information technology in the middle of the pack category, and it is a instance of the art beingness meliorate than the film itself and information technology would take been a ameliorate movie if the female pb character was likeable and if the story had been a lot more than engaging than it turned out.

By all means there are good things. The best thing nearly 'The Fine art of Us' is the art, which is absolutely gorgeous and luckily showcased in all its glory. The production values are very nicely washed, Hallmark nearly ever delivered when information technology came to the scenery which is very nicely complemented by the photography.

Lund is charming and has a subtle charisma, and his grapheme is a lot more likeable than Cole's by some considerable distance. Too thought that the domestic dog was adorable, the nigh likeable character in the moving-picture show, and the supporting cast solid.

Cole nonetheless doesn't piece of work. Volition agree with those that institute her too much of an water ice queen, and this is not the first or terminal time where that has been an issue for me with her. Likewise really disliked her character, where she comes over equally also cold, besides spoiled and likewise deceitful. Lund's character is not near as much of a problem, simply he too started to frustrate subsequently when he comes over as also naive. Didn't really detect much chemistry between them personally, at times too distant and so in the latter moments when the lie becomes increasingly out of control it becomes forced and hard to believe that Lund'south grapheme even so saw appeal in Cole'due south.

Did feel besides that too much of the script was awkward and silly and while appreciating that the music wasn't over-scored or too much it made the mistake of existence samey and completely unmemorable, likewise also soft. The direction is not amateurish but has no distinction. The story is likewise thin and formulaic, every bit well as hard to connect to emotionally. Also found it unrealistic and not ever tasteful, how the cloak-and-dagger is discovered could accept gone into more than depth and the reaction is handled far too indifferently. The concluding quarter is both contrived and whatever and considering the style Cole's character acts and the events that happened non long before the catastrophe is far too user-friendly and pat in an undeserving way.

On the whole, didn't come together for me sad to say despite the art. v/ten.

He was named afterwards Mama's Family...and come to detect out the leads final proper name is Higgins ( Unice Higgins) is Carol Burnette s character....I loved information technology and and so did my dog! Artwork: In the Way of Leonid Afremov

I tin can't confirm, but the luminous painting of the kissing couple is reminiscent of the style of the recently deceased Leonid Afremov. Cheque out Google Images for more than examples. I believe the estate is liquidating his personal drove piffling by little, and so there may be some bachelor to buy, at least as prints. 9/25/2020

Who does the research for these plots?

I admit to an habit to proficient Authentication movies. Unfortunately, they are few and far between. Based on the comments, I started to follow Lori Goldberg on Instagram (the real artist), and had high hopes for this 1. I made information technology through the first iii minutes and gave up, because: Only a really insecure Ph.D. would insist on the 'Dr." title, and no 1 (fifty-fifty a Provost) is going to tell an adjunct faculty that booking a high contour artist for an art bear witness will "earn you a permanent position on the fine-arts faculty" no thing what 'Lath' they are on. If it were simply that easy. Sigh. I might effort once again, but the high hopes are gone.

"When art imitates life..."

The Art of Us is movie that talks about the issues that unknown artists has to endure in guild to get recognized. This story is about Harper an art instructor who stop painting later on her ex, an art critic, gave her a harsh critic about her piece of work in her first showcase. She meets Tom Becker, a dog walker, and with time acquire that he is the real deal in painting. When she tries to utilize him in the show she is curating information technology, the college refuses because he doesn't has a recognize proper name. She lied saying that his ancestor is Van Gogh (this comes from a joke that his grandmother use to said because she was Dutch) and they let him presents his work.

This movie is nigh how art is so much more names and techniques. Art is about emotions and capturing the dazzler of life. Many of the bang-up artist that nosotros know on history they love to paint and take a passion for information technology. They didn't know most techniques, they invented them along the way. Inventiveness is in us, what we need to do is larn to bring information technology to the surface and employ information technology. Art is suggesting to the optics, so information technology means that no one would have the aforementioned opinion or estimation of a slice of fine art.

I call back this is a keen movie to remember all of that, and also to fall in love. The love story is amazing considering he brings out the best of her and inspire her to brainstorm painting again. Also, she was a good influence on him because it inspire him to come forward and nowadays his art.

I would let y'all become with the next thought, an artist present his work to people see the world through his eyes.

Beautiful movie

The movie caught my attention, every bit I am a professional person artist, but I was disappointed that the author and producer did not get the facts directly about Vincent VanGogh. He never had any children. His brother Theo married and had a son, but Vincent never had any children of his ain. For an art plant teacher, the director of the fine art institute, and the modernistic art gallery owner, including the VanGogh scholar NOT to immediately recognize the error in the storyline that VanGogh had no directly descendants, was a HUGE mistake, and immediately took away from the motion-picture show'southward enjoyment. Errors like these need to be fixed, only as books are edited and re-edited before publishing. In addition, it is a shame that nowhere can a viewer observe information about the artist(s) who provided the paintings in the making of the movie. The original artist(southward) deserve recognition for their contribution, without which there would have been no movie. Nowhere tin can I detect on IMDB or elsewhere the artist data, or the information virtually the paintings. Secondly, when portraying an actor equally an artist, it would be wise to show them how to hold and employ a paintbrush. Professional artists do not hold a brush like a writing instrument. Whoever yous have as a enquiry banana needs a lesson in observation. Cute movie and storyline. Bad research, defective of creative person data, inaccurate facts, all made for a less than quality film. I promise yous will take this into consideration when creating movies with actors portraying visual artists, and sharing facts about a world renowned artist such as VanGogh. Thank you.

The premise is this story is absolutely cool and horrible.

Alarm: Spoilers

I don't similar HM movies and discover their movies ridiculous from method or one-dimensional acting, outrageous plots, actor miscasting, weak scripts, and formulaic bounds. The Art of The states has to take the drapery of the nearly mendacious plot. Cole, an Instructor at a local painting school, wanting to country an promotion LIES, LIES almost Lund's character existence related to Van Gogh. Taylor Cole who is non a good extra oversells the absurdity of her character and her dilemma. Lund on the other hand is a capable grapheme who occasionally becomes one-dimensional goes along with this farce. He obviously falls in love with a liar and becomes more entrenched in the lie. HM does the smart thing to center on the budding human relationship rather than dealing with Cole'due south graphic symbol's lies. They pretend to be bothered lying to ppl only forget about information technology when focused on the relationship. Yadda, Yadda they are getting gear up for the coming out political party for Lund's grapheme. The soft music to raise the sexual attention and affection between them. The foreplay is the increasing tension and stress continuing from the lie they are experiencing. The climax is getting caught in the prevarication and she is asked to leave her position. But lo and behold, she ends up with the guy. What message is Hallmark making with this moving picture? It's okay to lie but penalisation is nonexistent. It is a constant complaint I accept almost Hallmark movies and the movie plots that are horrible and oftentimes ridiculous.

...two pretty people in a long line of well-nigh identical storylines

Virtually all Hallmark productions comes downwardly to deciding do you want to spend the time watching the two leads in the film. In this case Taylor Cole is a most attractive immature woman (her yet images on bing show her amend looking than in this film..longer hair suits her much more), a majority men (or women) would be willing to ringlet the dice for a short while, and she should they wish to go on watching. Would exist interesting to search out a work where she would not exist constrained by a PG13 rating. Hallmark pumps out movies faster than virtually can continue up.. this one is no better or worse than all the others. With all typical Hallmark product the ending is always a given, it'southward but if getting there is not too eye-rolling shtick or ho-hum. There is even now once again 1 that is a bit more intriguing, Art of US just happens to autumn in line with the fairly ordinary category.

Horror Evidence

This is but my personal view.

Bleah! There was no, zero, zilch chemical science betwixt the leads and the story line is really absurd.

We have a grown human, Tom Becker, who doesn't have PTSD (or so it is not mentioned in the show), who is a potent and intelligent man just who is drifting through life in a broken down houseboat with the merely bodily job he has as a dogwalker. What?! Are we supposed to find this kind of Hallmark lead player romantic or attractive in any manner? And so the premise is thrown in that he is an army Vet. I call up that insults Vets. I don't recollect vets would come home and be every bit happily unemployed as he is. And certainly nowhere close to existence as dishonest. I would like to remember that Vets are men of integrity and who would await to accept on responsibilities in society - hey I could exist completely incorrect but regardless, this Tom Becker is presented to u.s. as a lazy and mendacious man. Yucks!! Who wants to fall in dearest with that character?

I always retrieve Taylor Cole should be renamed Taylor Cold. She is an water ice queen and I have no idea why or how she is cast as the romantic actress in Hallmark movies. Her smile never reaches her eyes and she is stone common cold. She also always acts the role of a spoilt adult female who feels somehow entitled to whatever she wants. In this show, she wants to be tenured and then she will lie to go what she wants and betray people who have put their trust in her. If I knew a person like this in real life, if I saw her headed my way, I would turn tail and run.

And the person in charge of wardrobe should be counselled. Harper wore what appeared to be football game gear to the cocktail party. The straps of her dress fabricated her shoulders expect so bulked up, all that was missing was the face paint below her eyes and her helmet and she would exist ready for a touchdown. Really horrible to the point of shudder to see her come downward the stairs in that dress. And Tom says she looks beautiful. I didn't know if I was supposed to laugh or weep in horror.

The only bond the 2 leads have in this show is in the shared lie and the threat of mutual devastation they both alive nether. And mutual destruction is bestowed upon them sure plenty. And if you can believe it, the film ends on that annotation. Whaaaat?!

Come up to think of it, both Harper and Tom deserve each other. They are both peas in a very rotting pod.

Seriously, don't bother watching this evidence. Other than the beautiful art pieces, the human beings in this show are then far from cute, this might as well exist a horror prove.

Taylor Cole has poor acting skills, not believable, very potent. Would like to see more of Lacey Chabert and Bethany Lenz. She acts as well conceited!!!
